American Education Week (Julie Reeg)- Plans a teacher event, traditionally a breakfast, for the Week in November. Volunteers are needed for this event for donations and “day-of” tasks.

Staff Appreciation (Jody Bocconelli and Jacynda Kruc)- Plans and coordinates events for teacher appreciation week in May. Events, usually include breakfast, lunch and tokens of appreciation. Volunteers are needed for food and monetary donations.

 

School Supplies (Kristen Willard)- Communicates with distributor and principal (for supplies suggestions). Order forms also need to go to the incoming seventh graders. This takes place in late spring. Distribution of supplies happens on locker set up night in the late summer. Volunteers are needed for pick up.

Crosstown Classic (Jill Donaldson, Amy Balicki and Nancy Bifulco)- For year A, this is for the boys’ basket ball game. For year B, this is for the girls’ basketball game. 2016/17 is year B. These chairs work with PE teachers to help provide snacks and other income ideas during the game. The game will be held at DGS. This date should be set as early as possible for optimal fundraising opportunities. Parent volunteers are needed for this event.

 

Color Fun Run (Carrie Casella and Mary Spear)- Organizes and executes the run that takes place in the spring. The chair needs to communicate with the runners and the their families. Orders need to cover shirts, powder, food and volunteers. This event needs many volunteers for set up and during the event.

 

Staff Hospitality (Nancy Bifulco)- This chair organizes lunch/dinner/ice cream breaks for teachers during parent/teacher conferences and opening of the school year. Food donations and volunteers are needed. 

 

Picture Day (Amy Balicki)- This is a short commitment. Chair finds volunteers to help on Picture Day.
