VIP Day (Jennifer Kowalski and Peg Chaidez)- Recommended that one 7th and one 8th grade parent are chairs. Coordinates with the 8th grade teachers for this celebration. Snacks and coffee are organized by the chairs. Volunteers are needed for snacks and “day-of” tasks.

Career Day (Not needed in 2017/18)- Helps with getting volunteers for the eighth grade career day field trip. Teachers plan and execute the day. This chair only is responsible for getting a list of names of available eighth grade parents. This field trip is in the spring.

Reflections (VACANT)- This chair works with local, state and possibly national PTA’s. The chair follows prescribed directions for our local PTA and participants. Communication is done mostly via email, possibly office pick up and drop offs. This starts in early fall. The end of the commitment depends on student participation.

 

Reading Games (Not needed in 2017/18)- The Reading Games have shifted to a Council PTA event. The head chairs will run the event. Our local PTA will attend planning meeting and communicate with our PTA with updates and needs. The Reading Games is held in the spring. Planning will happen throughout the year.
